Huuuuuuge apologies for the lack of an update for... well, ages. It's been months! But an exciting and very busy few months!

Florida

Scott and I had an amazing time in Florida. I didn't want to come home T_T It was lovely and warm there, it sucked having to get off the plane back in rainy England. Though I don't like flying one little bit. That was my first big flight (well, I went to America when I was 8, but I don't remember that flight much). The way there was great, very little terbulance, and we got to watch lightning out of the window as we flew over Chicago! But the way back... *shudders* it was awful. Really bad terbulance, I was convinced the plane was going to crash and was panicing the whole way haha. I had to watch 17 Again on the inflight TV to calm down. I actually really enjoyed it, even laughed out loud and woke the passenger next to me up a few times <.<

I also heard about Michael Jackson as we arrived in Chicago airport, and was sobbing all the way to Florida, heh.

We went to all the Disney parks, Universal Studios, and Sea World. I forced Scott on the Aerosmith ride and it cured his fear of rollercoasters! After that there was no stopping him, yay! Speaking of getting over fears, I finally went in a pool! I haven't been swimming since I was 8, since I have a phobia of drowning. But I did it, and enjoyed it! Wouldn't go in without a million sponge floats under my arms though haha.

The Aerosmith rollercoaster and the Tower of Terror were my favorite fast rides, but the Simpsons ride was MADE OF WIN. I sat like 8D all the way through haha. Animal Kingdom was awesome too, I shit myself on the dinosaur ride where there was some big T-Rex-y thing chasing you through the dark xD Magic Kingdom was a slight letdown... I was annoyed at the lack of Disney movie merchendise... lots and lots of Mickey Mouse, some Dinsey Princess stuff, but hardly any classic Disney movie stuff, like Aladdin and Lion King.

We also went to Aligator World (that I kept calling Crocodile Land... can I get any more British), where I pissed off an aligator and got nastily sunburnt T_T

It rained quite a lot though, especially on the day we went to Epcot. I got drenched, my shoes were ruined.

All in all, it was fantastic, and I wish I could go back tomorrow!

Moving

Scott and I bought a house together, and we should be in very very soon. As soon as the 1st October! It's in a beautiful place called Saltburn, where Scott lives already. Seaside town, woop, with some woods and a pier and full of awesome.

It's a gorgeous house, but the only bad thing is how much money it's going to cost me every month. I don't make a lot of money as an auxilliary nurse, and the mortage and bills are going to take up a LOT of it.

Which sadly brings me to my next bit of news.

Cosplay

Is going on hold.

I'm not sure for how long, but with very little spare cash, I simply can't afford it anymore! I'm still going to try and arrange some cosplay meetups, maybe in November in Manchester for my birthday. But I won't be at October Expo since we'll of only just moved in.

I'm sad, but also happy.

Cosplay is an amazing and fun hobby, but it's an expensive and time-consuming one too. I feel like I finally have so many fantastic things going on for me, like buying the house, joining a theatre group, volunteering for an animal rescue center, and spending time with my friends. I didn't realise how much of my life it had consumed, and I find myself not missing the cosplay anymore. I miss the people it involved, and the awesome fun I had, but that won't go away. I can still have great fun with my friends and experience lots of new things without having to wear a costume. It's also helped me see who my real friends are. There are some people I know who were clearly just friends with me when I was in costumes, and don't even recognise or talk to me when I dont have a wig on.

I won't be gone forever, but the cosplay is as of now on hiatus. I will still check my messages whenever I can, so feel free to say hello.
